Cost & Finance Analyst
- Contract through to 30 June 2027 (commencing August 2026)

An exciting opportunity for a Cost & Finance Analyst to support a major Defence capability program. This role will see you working across complex project activities, providing critical financial forecasting, cost modelling, estimation, and commercial analysis to support long-term investment and program delivery outcomes.
Working within a collaborative Defence and industry environment, you will provide trusted financial insights and help drive informed decision-making across a high-profile autonomous systems capability program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver contract development activities in accordance with CASG policy and within required timeframes
- Lead and support commercial activities across the full capability lifecycle, from procurement planning to contract closure
- Collaborate with key CASG stakeholders
- Undertake research and provide advice on commercial, legal, technical and policy matters
- Mentor and support Contract Management and Contract Development Officers to build team capability
- Engage effectively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to achieve outcomes
- Ensure compliance with policy requirements and manage commercial risks and performance
- Deliver Air Combat Systems (ACS) Branch tasks efficiently and within expected timeframes
- Provide timely, accurate and high-quality support to Executive Leadership
Key Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Procurement, Contract Management, Finance, Project Management or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, procurement or contract management within a complex, regulated environment
- Proven stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships across diverse groups
- Strong understanding of communication flows, resource management, priorities and workflows to achieve business outcomes
- Ability to identify, assess and manage commercial risks, including those related to contract development, supplier performance and compliance
- Experience applying procurement frameworks, policies and governance requirements (Defence/CASG experience highly regarded) integrity.
