Job Description
As a Civil Engineer at Egis, you will focus on delivering comprehensive civil design work for projects locally in QLD with opportunities across the country. With a strong pipeline of projects, we’re expanding our Brisbane team in 2026.
Responsibilities
- Delivery and coordination of projects and proposals, with both office and site-based work.
- Contribute to detailed design plans in close collaboration with drafters and project managers.
- Coordinate production and revision of engineering designs by liaising with internal Design teams.
- Prepare project deliverables, tender documentation, design documentation, technical reports, BOQs, cost estimates and specifications for projects of reasonable complexity.
- Assume responsibility for project planning and resource management for small projects or parts of larger projects.
- Support the well‑being, development and resourcing of team members.
- Participate in client management and business development.
- Play an active role in business groups through meetings, workshops, training and business planning.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a similar role within a consultancy serving local authorities/councils across QLD.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in 12D, Excel and QGIS.
- Strong understanding of general civil engineering and design principles for roads, earthworks, drainage and water management.
- Experience supporting local and state government projects.
- Demonstrated project management and delivery experience for small to medium projects across the full life cycle.
- Experience in the resources and/or renewable energy sectors is highly desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
