Senior Business Analyst

We would like to meet a Senior Business Analyst for a project with a hybrid working model in Lisbon, Portugal (2x/week at the office).

Responsabilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for trading platforms.
• Act as the bridge between Front Office, Quants, Product Owners, and Technology teams.
• Translate complex financial products and derivatives payoffs into clear functional specifications.
• Work closely with Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Quant teams throughout the SDLC.
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
• Analyse trade‑related data using SQL and support data validation activities.
• Define and document API and data requirements using REST, JSON, and XML.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage requirements using Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Capital Markets, Trading, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of Structured Products, including Structured Notes, Certificates, Warrants, Autocallables, Callable Features, Barriers, and complex payoffs.
• Solid knowledge of financial instruments, including Bonds, Options, Swaps, Futures, and Forwards.
• Basic understanding of Black‑Scholes and the Greeks: Delta, Gamma, Vega, and Theta.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Sophis or other Capital Markets platforms.
• Basic knowledge of Python or R.
