NVD Fresh Produce Pty Ltd Walkaway, Western Australia Full Time Truck Driver (2 Positions Available) Salary AUD $100,000 – $110,000 per annum plus Superannuation, depending on skills and experience. About us: NVD Fresh Produce Pty Ltd is a family‑owned agricultural enterprise based in Walkaway, Western Australia, approximately 30 minutes from Geraldton. We operate approximately 4.2 hectares of plastic greenhouses in Walkaway and an additional 2 hectares of plastic greenhouses at the family’s original farm.

We are currently expanding our operations, having purchased 60 acres of land near Walkaway to support future growth and long‑term sustainability. NVD Fresh Produce specialises in intensive greenhouse cultivation and is progressively diversifying its crop range, recognising crop rotation as a key strategy to preserve soil health, improve productivity, and maintain consistent supply. The business is focused on strengthening its production capacity, improving operational systems and water management practices, and establishing a scalable and sustainable structure to support ongoing expansion within Western Australia’s fresh produce market.

The successful applicant will play an important role in supporting the continued growth and success of NVD Fresh Produce’s farming operations. Position Summary The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy rigid trucks to transport goods, agricultural supplies and equipment in support of NVD Fresh Produce’s farming operations.

The role ensures the timely collection, delivery and movement of goods while maintaining vehicle safety, operational efficiency and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Operations

  • Operate heavy rigid trucks safely to transport goods, agricultural supplies and equipment.
  • Load, secure and unload goods, materials and equipment in accordance with workplace procedures.
  • Ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Vehicle Maintenance and Compliance

  • Conduct routine pre‑start and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report mechanical faults, maintenance requirements and safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure compliance with road transport and workplace safety requirements.
  • Complete transport documentation and delivery records accurately.

Farm Operations Support

  • Assist with loading and unloading activities as required.
  • Support general farm logistics and transportation requirements during harvesting and production periods.
  • Work collaboratively with farm managers and other employees to ensure efficient daily operations.

Workplace Safety

  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Ensure the safe handling and transportation of produce, equipment and materials.
  • Maintain a professional and safety‑focused approach while operating heavy vehicles.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should possess one of the following:

  • A relevant AQF Certificate II qualification (or equivalent) together with at least 1 year's relevant post‑qualification employment experience (20+ hours per week); or
  • At least 2 years’ relevant employment experience (10+ hours per week) in lieu of a formal qualification, together with an additional 2 years’ relevant full‑time employment experience.

Additional Skills and Attributes

  • Experience operating heavy rigid trucks in an agricultural, farming, transport or logistics environment.
  • A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence is required.
  • A Heavy Combination (HC) Driver Licence will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle safety inspections and report mechanical faults.
  • Ability to transport goods safely and efficiently in accordance with workplace procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate transport and delivery records.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
