Opening in 2027 in the heart of Caulfield, Shelford Campus willbe Caulfield Grammar School’s newest Junior School. The campus willinitially offer exceptional education for students in Prep andYears 4–6, before growing into a full Prep to Year 6 Junior School.This represents a once‑in‑a‑career opportunity for a foundingteaching team to shape the culture and community from the groundup, delivering high‑impact learning in an outstandingpurpose‑designed environment.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire creativity and helpestablish an exceptional Visual Arts program at our new ShelfordCampus.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, the Junior School ArtTeacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver acontemporary, engaging Visual Arts program that reflects theSchool's values and commitment to excellence.

Working with students from Prep to Year 6, you will create rich,hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity,confidence and artistic expression. Through a dynamic curriculum,you will support students to develop their technical skills,critical thinking and appreciation of the visual arts.

As a founding member of the Shelford team, you will play a keyrole in shaping a culture where creativity is celebrated, studentwork is proudly showcased, and every child is empowered to exploreand express their ideas through art.

This part-time opportunity offers potential for additional hoursin the future, aligned with the ongoing growth and development ofthe campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver an engaging Visual Arts program acrossthe Junior School, promoting creativity, skill development andartistic confidence.
• Design and implement sequential learning experiencesaligned to curriculum requirements, incorporating contemporaryand inquiry‑based teaching practices.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environmentthat encourages creative risk‑taking and values student voiceand expression.
• Assess and monitor student learning, providing timely andmeaningful feedback to support growth and development.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs, abilitiesand backgrounds of all students.
• Curate and coordinate student exhibitions, displays, eventsand special projects that celebrate Visual Arts across theSchool.
• Engage with artists to develop the “artist-in-residence
