Secondary Teacher (Mathematics) – St Patrick's College
Position: Secondary Teacher (Mathematics), St Patrick's College
Start date: Term 3, 2026
Employment status: Full‑time contract
Salary: $86,600 – $147,048

What we are looking for:
Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of St Patrick's College, Mackay. This is a full‑time contract position to commence Term 3, 2026 until 17 January 2027 or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Registered teacher who can teach Mathematics
- Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Experience in a Catholic education context and a desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers registration
Key responsibilities:
- Provide quality education and care for secondary school students at St Patrick's College.
- Understand Catholic Education’s mission and integrate Catholic values into the curriculum.
- Design differentiated teaching strategies and use data to guide learning and improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
- Implement various assessment strategies and provide constructive feedback.
