Financial Accountant

Looking for a role that fills your cup? Good news, T2 Tea is looking for a Financial Accountant on a 12 month Fixed term to join its passionate team!

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager to ensure effective management of financial risks and control framework
• Manage and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Deliver accurate month‑end reporting within agreed timelines
• Maintain compliance with applicable lease accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 16)
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, fully supported, and aligned with internal and external requirements
• Provide accurate cash flow reporting and oversee fortnight payment runs
• Manage indirect tax reporting and meet all lodgments deadlines
• Ensure all internal and external reporting requirements are met (including accounting, taxation and any further compliance)

About you

• 3+ years experience in a Financial Accounting role
• Experience with AASB 16 highly regarded
• NetSuite & Lease Eagle experience highly regarded
• Strong internal control mindset
• A focus on a continuous improvement program across the short and long term
• Broad technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Advanced excel skills
