- 4 month contract with possible extensions
Help shape the future of capital project delivery through data-driven portfolio reporting, PMO governance and enterprise project management systems. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced PMO Analyst who enjoys combining data analysis, portfolio reporting and continuous improvement with enterprise project management systems. You'll play a key role in supporting a large Capital Works portfolio by improving reporting visibility, maintaining data integrity and enhancing the organisation's Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform.
Who you will be working with: You'll join a collaborative PMO and Major Projects team within a leading Local Government organisation, partnering with project managers, business stakeholders, executive leaders and system owners to support the successful delivery of the Council's Capital Works program.

Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate monthly and quarterly Capital Portfolio reporting for executive leadership
- Analyse portfolio performance across scope, budget, schedule and risk, providing meaningful insights and recommendations
- Maintain data integrity across the Capital Works program through effective data management and governance
- Support the implementation, configuration and ongoing enhancement of the organisation's Portfolio Project Management (PPM) platform
- Gather business requirements and coordinate system integration, testing, user acceptance and data migration activities
- Develop project dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI and other reporting tools
- Coordinate portfolio governance activities, including Capital Review meetings and reporting processes
- Support project budgeting, forward planning and project bid evaluation through robust data analysis
- Develop user guides, training materials and deliver system support to stakeholders across the organisation
- Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting capability and project management maturity
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO), Portfolio Management Office or project controls environment
- Experience supporting or administering enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) systems such as MS Project Online, Primavera P6, Altus or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel and experience using Power BI, SharePoint and Microsoft Project
- Ability to interpret complex project data and present clear insights through executive dashboards and reports
- Experience gathering business requirements, supporting system implementations and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, Engineering, ICT or a related discipline
- Previous Local Government experience will be highly regarded
