Commercial Analyst

We have a rare opportunity to appoint a Commercial Analyst to work at the Company’s Head Office in Silverwater, New South Wales.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing commercial expertise to the business and supporting the finance function with a focus on strategic planning, analysis and business partnering. More specifically your role will include:

• Supporting the retail grocery & foodservice sales teams through the provision of effective management information and analysis
• Analysing product line & category performance major accounts
• Driving sales and KPI performance
• Driving the budgeting and planning process
• Driving strategic initiatives to ensure revenue and profit growth
• Financial modelling to support business cases
• Driving major projects
• Identifying risks and opportunities
• Development of customer pricing models and profitability analysis
• Spearhead reporting, systems and process improvements across both finance and the wider business
• Trade spend management and return on investment

About You

We are looking for an outstanding candidate with the following skills and experience:

• Proven track record of business partnering sales retail (grocery) teams and/or foodservice and senior executives
• Proven track record of implementing reporting and systems improvements
• Commercial finance experience within FMCG
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a strong urge to understand the business drivers behind the numbers
• An ACA or CPA with a degree in Accounting as a minimum
• A stable career history showing progression and personal growth
• Highly professional, well-presented and articulate
• Strategic, driven and commercially astute
• A strong communicator and comfortable presenting insightful analysis and recommendations to a wide non-financial audience in a clear and concise manner
