Initial 6 Months — Dublin City Centre — €500 - €600 per day
I am currently recruiting for a Lead Python Engineer to join a high-performing FinTech organisation based in Dublin City Centre.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will be responsible for driving the design and delivery of key platform initiatives while leading a small team of 2-3 engineers.
The Role
- Lead the development and delivery of scalable Python based applications
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
- Drive engineering best practice, code quality and technical standards
- Work closely with Product, Architecture and wider technology teams
- Contribute hands-on to design, development and code reviews
- Support the evolution of a modern cloud-based engineering environment
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing software with Python
- Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Experience designing and delivering scalable backend systems
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices and distributed architectures
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience working within fast-paced Agile environments
