Job Description
Mayday is partnering with Australia’s largest funeral service provider to recruit a highly organised and detail-focused Funeral Administrative Coordinator to join their operations team in Malaga, WA.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an organised, fast-paced operational environment and enjoys being the central point that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You will play a critical role in ensuring funeral services are delivered with precision, care, and coordination for families across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all funeral logistics including deceased care, transfers, and preparation into care
- Manage end-to-end funeral arrangements including burials, cremations, and service coordination
- Complete all required paperwork and compliance documentation, including cremation authorisations to ensure timely progression of services
- Allocate and roster funeral staff, conductors, and arrangers across services and locations
- Prepare and manage daily operational sheets, transfers, and mortuary/government documentation
- Oversee vehicle allocation and logistics across funeral operations
- Coordinate bookings for funeral services and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support arrangers and conductors to ensure seamless delivery of services
About You
- Highly organised with strong logistics, coordination, and administrative capability
- Experience in rostering, scheduling, or operational coordination within a structured environment
- Comfortable managing multiple moving parts including staff allocation, transport logistics, and compliance documentation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume processes accurately and efficiently
- Calm, methodical, and able to work under time-sensitive operational requirements
- Confident communicating with internal teams including arrangers, conductors, and operational staff
- Experience or exposure within medical, aged care, logistics, administrative, or care-based environments - we are open to background
- Understanding of funeral services would also be advantageous, but not essential
- Current driver’s licence required
