Financial Reporting and Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting & Tax Manager to join a leading financial services organisation with a sophisticated multi‑entity structure and strong market presence. This senior role is ideal for a technically strong accountant with 8+ years’ post‑qualification experience across financial reporting and corporate tax, and the confidence to lead group‑level outcomes in a dynamic, fast‑growing environment.

The Role

As the Financial Reporting & Tax Manager, you will take ownership of group financial reporting, corporate tax compliance and tax effect accounting. You will work closely with senior finance leaders, business units and external advisors to deliver accurate reporting, maintain tax governance and support strategic decision‑making across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Group financial reporting — Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end reporting across multiple entities
• Technical accounting — Provide guidance on complex transactions, consolidations and accounting standards
• Corporate tax compliance — Manage and review income tax returns, BAS, FBT and statutory lodgements
• Tax effect accounting — Oversee monthly and year‑end tax provisions and tax notes
• Advisory & structuring — Support restructures, M&A, funding arrangements and cross‑border matters
• Stakeholder leadership — Partner with senior executives to optimise reporting and tax strategies
• Audit & ATO engagement — Manage external audits, ATO reviews and advisor relationships
• Process & governance uplift — Strengthen controls, reporting frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• CA/CPA qualified with 8+ years’ post‑qualification experience across financial reporting and corporate tax
• Background from Big 4, mid‑tier or financial services essential
• Strong technical expertise in group reporting, corporate tax, tax effect accounting and consolidations
• Experience across multi‑entity structures, international entities or funds management highly regarded
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder influence at senior levels
• Proactive, commercially minded and comfortable leading outcomes in a fast‑paced environment
