Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales)

Noibutechnologies

OttawaFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

Noibu is the leading ecommerce analytics & monitoring platform, purpose‑built to help retailers protect and grow online revenue. By unifying site monitoring, experience analytics, and conversion growth opportunities in a single pane of glass, Noibu captures the most important end-to-end shopping data, without the complexity of traditional analytics tools.

Noibu surfaces critical site errors, performance issues, and customer journey friction that block conversions, then ties every insight directly to business impact, session replays, and full technical context. This makes it easy for ecommerce teams to understand why things are happening and what to prioritize, without dedicated analytics headcount.

The result: faster decisions, better collaboration across teams, optimized customer experiences, and revenue growth.

Solutions Engineer Overview

You will be embedded in the sales cycle, working directly with AEs to understand a merchant’s ecommerce goals, uncover where they’re losing conversion, and show them concretely how Noibu gives them the visibility and tools to take action.

This is not a demo‑and‑disappear role. You will perform real discovery: understand how a merchant’s site is built, how their teams operate, and where they are flying blind. You will map their stack, speak credibly to their developers, and connect the technical dots between Noibu’s implementation and the business outcomes it drives.

You will also help shape tools, content, and playbooks that sharpen our entire SE motion.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AEs on mid‑market opportunities to run deep discovery across technical and commercial stakeholders, understanding a merchant’s ecommerce architecture, team workflows, and gaps in visibility that cost conversion and development time.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored demos and POCs that connect Noibu’s full platform to what matters to the merchant: conversion rate, site reliability, and revenue.
  • Field and resolve technical objections with authority.
  • Build proof‑of‑concepts and custom demo environments that reflect a prospect’s real stack and use cases, showing how Noibu consolidates visibility across product, engineering, UX, and CX teams in one place.
  • Translate customer technical requirements into clear POC success criteria.
  • Capture structured product feedback from the field and surface it to Product and Engineering with clear use cases and merchant context.
  • Contribute to SE enablement—demo assets, objection‑handling guides, competitive talking points, and repeatable playbooks for the deals you’re seeing.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to present technical products to a range of audiences—from a developer validating implementation details to a VP of ecommerce making a platform decision—and hold your own in both conversations.
  • Experience building or advising on technical integrations. Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Magento is a plus.
  • Strong hands‑on technical background—comfortable with JavaScript and web development, familiar with how tag managers, CDNs, and third‑party scripts interact on a page, and able to read a stack trace or dig into a network request to understand what’s happening.
  • High emotional intelligence—able to read the room, build trust fast, and handle a skeptical engineering lead and a motivated business stakeholder in the same call without losing either.
  • Excellent communicator—comfortable switching from a technical architecture conversation with a developer to a conversion strategy conversation with a director, and knowing which register you’re in without having to think about it.
  • Proactive and scrappy by nature—you don’t wait for the perfect process to exist before moving. You figure it out, build what you need, and raise the flag when something isn’t working. Startup experience is a plus, and that mindset is a must.
  • Tech‑forward in how you work—you’re not just comfortable with new tools, you actively seek them out. You tinker, test, and build. If there’s an AI tool that makes you sharper or faster in the role, you’ll find it before anyone tells you to.
