Accountant - Branch Financial Accounting

BizTek People is in search for Accountant - Branch Financial Accounting for our client in NYC! Schedule: Hybrid (alternating weeks in-office and remote) Duration: Contract through October 30, 2026 Start Date: ASAP We are seeking an entry-level Accountant to support the Branch Financial Accounting team with financial reporting and general ledger close activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative corporate accounting environment.

Responsibilities Support month-end close processes and general ledger activities Gather, reconcile, and validate financial data Prepare monthly balance sheet analyses and account reconciliations Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and related reporting Prepare quarterly financial reports and support data inquiries Perform intercompany account analysis and resolve reconciliation differences with cross-functional teams Assist with internal and external audit requests, including SOX compliance support Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience Basic understanding of accounting principles Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (basic formulas and PivotTables preferred) Ability to quickly learn ERP systems Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills Excellent communication and written documentation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Preferred Skills Experience with financial reconciliations Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting #Accounting, #Finance, #GeneralLedger, #MonthEndClose, #FinancialReporting, #AccountReconciliation, #BalanceSheetAnalysis, #FinancialStatements, #MicrosoftExcel, #ERPSystems, #AuditSupport, #BachelorDegree
