The Opportunity:
The Utilities Manager is responsible for managing all site utility consumption and leads a group of power house and waste water treatment operators in the daily operation of the facility ensuring compliance with local regulations. With a focus on sustainability, this role is a champion for continuous improvement for the reduction of our environmental footprint.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Leads power house and waste water personnel and ensures compliance with local regulations.
- Manages energy consumption and tracking for facility. Verifies usage for utility bill payment.
- Assists in the planning of the Capex budget for Winnipeg.
- Manages the completion of capital projects related to powerhouse or wastewater with focus on sustainability commitments.
- Responsible for month end utility and chemical usage reporting.
- Develop and implement energy reduction strategies.

- Knowledge of boilers, steam generating equipment and auxiliaries.
- Knowledge of waste water treatment operations.
- Food processing knowledge an asset
- Experience with SAP an asset
