Job description

The Finance Specialist will support the company’s financial operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, basic compliance, and reliable reporting. This role is suited for someone who can balance execution with analysis, without needing a therapy session every time a spreadsheet gets complicated.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Financial Operations & Accounting

·      Manage day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, invoicing, payments)

·      Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation

·      Perform bank reconciliations and track financial transactions

·      Support payroll inputs and final settlements

2.     Financial Reporting & Analysis

·      Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports and financial summaries

·      Track key financial metrics and highlight trends or variances

·      Support preparation of basic financial statements

3.     Budgeting & Planning

·      Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities

·      Monitor actuals vs budget and flag deviations

·      Support cash flow tracking and planning

4.     Compliance & Audit Support

·      Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.)

·      Maintain records for audit readiness

·      Coordinate with auditors and external consultants when required

5.     Business Support

·      Work with internal teams to track expenses and improve cost visibility

·      Provide basic financial inputs to support decision-making

·      Support ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed

Preferable skills

·      Finance & Accounting Basics

·      Strong understanding of accounting principles

·      Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic compliance

·      Experience with Tally or similar accounting tools

·      4–5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting

·      Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field

·      Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus
