The Opportunity

As the Longwall Manager you will lead the 2026 Longwall restart at Centurion, architecting the operational framework, driving ramp‑up, and leading long‑term performance of a premier underground asset.

Reporting to the General Manager you will hold full accountability for the Longwall department, ensuring safety, production, and innovation are woven into the site from day one.

Your Impact

• Provide executive oversight of the Longwall department, moving beyond daily tasks to drive long‑term production strategy and operational excellence.
• Play a pivotal role in optimising longwall operation, ensuring systems, people, and equipment are primed for success.
• Partner with Maintenance, Tech Services, and Mine Planning to ensure a seamless, integrated approach to production.
• Champion a high‑performance safety culture, ensuring robust hazard identification, risk control, and compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Monitor equipment health, productivity trends, and departmental budgets to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
• Build and mentor a high calibre crew, promoting a culture of accountability, skill development, and professional pride.

About You

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in senior longwall leadership roles (Manager or Superintendent level).
• Highly desirable to hold QLD Statutory Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, and G2) or a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
• Exceptional knowledge of modern longwall equipment, automated systems, and strata control.
• A proven track record of building high performing teams and driving behavioural safety leadership.
