We're recruiting on behalf of a leading mechanical contractor with a strong pipeline of Tier 1 commercial, health, education, and infrastructure builds. About the Company
Our client is a well-established mechanical services contractor known for delivering large-scale hydraulic and plumbing works on Tier 1 construction sites. With a portfolio that spans high‑profile hospitals, government facilities, and major developments, they pride themselves on quality workmanship, safety, and strong site leadership.
The Role
As the Plumbing Site Manager, you will be the on‑site lead for all plumbing and hydraulic works across major builds, working closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and head contractors. You’ll oversee the delivery of projects from the ground up, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise on‑site plumbing teams and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards
- Coordinate with Tier 1 builders and liaise with site managers, engineers, and other trades
- Conduct toolbox talks, enforce safety compliance, and uphold WHS protocols
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Order materials, manage deliveries, and track project progress
- Report directly to the Project Manager and provide regular site updates
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Site Supervisor or Site Manager on Tier 1 commercial projects
- Trade qualified plumber with current licences and White Card
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage large teams
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Deep understanding of hydraulic/plumbing systems and construction methodologies
- Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards
Bonus Points For
- Experience on hospital, education, or government builds
- Plumbing Estimating or PM background
- Strong builder relationships in the Tier 1 space
