Position: Project Engineer – Stringing

This role is responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of stringing activities within transmission line construction projects. The project engineer ensures that project execution aligns with safety standards, technical specifications, quality requirements, and schedule commitments, contributing to the successful delivery of high‑voltage transmission infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed stringing project plans, schedules, and methodologies in alignment with overall construction programs.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively, including tracking of costs and preparation of progress claims where required.
• Resolve technical issues related to stringing equipment, methods, and alignment tolerances.
• Develop a program for the scope of works including staging, guide and approve the setup of tower erection, stringing methods to ensure proper safety and timely execution of work at the site.
• Prepare preliminary Single Line Diagram (SLD) and review substation drawings and designs.
• Provide expertise in tower erection, retrofitting works, stringing works, template/probe setting works for the foundation of the transmission line.
• Assist in supervising final stringing and commissioning stages, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 4+ years’ experience in a similar role working across 400KV transmission line projects.
• Proven experience in transmission line construction with a strong focus on stringing operations.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards, utility guidelines, and relevant industry codes.
