Job Summary
The Lead Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. The role focuses on gaining an in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and context, reviewing end-to-end business processes to identify operational, financial, and technological risks, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. The Analyst will lead small to mid-size projects, mentor peers, support data governance and reference data tasks, standardize analysis processes, document data quality issues, and provide data services enhancements in an Agile BI Analytics DevOps environment.
Responsibilities
- Review assigned end-to-end business processes to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks.
- Identify opportunities to improve business process efficiency.
- Lead small and mid-size projects and support larger projects related to operational business functions affecting team members and providers.
- Mentor other Business Analysts within the BI team.
- Support Data Governance and reference data tasks (data profiling, source analysis, documentation).
- Document data quality issues and propose technical solutions.
- Meet with business unit leaders and analysts to elicit data- and reporting-related requirements.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements to enable the Informatics/BI team.
- Operate within an Agile BI Analytics DevOps environment.
- Apply advanced relational database architecture knowledge and reporting/analytics tools (SQL, Visual Studio, Reporting Services, Integration Services).
- Engage users to elicit requirements and provide Data Services.
- Use healthcare data knowledge to \'solutionize\' delivery of informative insights.
- Continuously provide Data Services enhancements to improve the organization’s ability to use information.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor\u2019s degree in business analytics, computer science, engineering, accounting, finance, management information systems, or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree, five (5) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience
- Professional healthcare data experience within clinical oncology (preferred).
- Six (6) or more years of active healthcare big-data integration experience involving multiple heterogeneous data sources, data cleansing, and reference/master data management on an enterprise data warehouse.
- Six (6) years of SQL report writing with BI or statistical analysis.
