Job Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Manager who will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily operations, team management, and strategic initiatives at News Kothri. The ideal candidate is a well-qualified professional with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in media, news operations, or general management.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of journalists, content creators, editors, and support staff.

- Oversee news gathering, content production, and timely publication across digital/print platforms.

- Develop and implement strategies to grow audience reach and engagement.

- Ensure high editorial standards, accuracy, and compliance with journalistic ethics.

- Coordinate with reporters, anchors, and external partners for smooth operations.

- Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.

- Manage budget, resources, and operational efficiency.

- Handle crisis communication and manage sensitive news stories effectively.

- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, high-performance work culture.

- Stay updated with current affairs, media trends, and emerging technologies in journalism.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Business Management, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in news media, content management, or operations (preferably in a managerial capacity).

- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Excellent command over English and (Hindi/Regional Language).

- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Sound knowledge of digital media tools, SEO, social media analytics, and newsroom software.

- Well-qualified candidates with prior experience in newsroom management will be given preference.
