Job Description

As Core Marketing and Innovations Manager, you will join the Latin American Marketing Team to lead Consumer Marketing initiatives for Peru, aiming to continue building the value and preference of our brand with consumers and clients while growing Visa’s revenue and business.

This role is responsible for co‑leading the strategic planning and landing of the Core Marketing and Innovation Strategy for Peru Market, as well as the development and execution of the overall Consumer Marketing & Innovation agenda (including Social and gaming) for the market, while achieving targets, maximizing brand equity and synergizing marketing spending efforts.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Co‑lead of the strategic planning and Core Marketing and Innovation strategy for the Peruvian market in collaboration with the Andean Core Marketing Director.
  • Based on consumer insights, develop and deploy compelling and holistic marketing plans with clear KPIs and outcomes to guarantee Visa Brand sustained growth in the market.
  • Execute the marketing strategy and campaign development, including media plan execution, and agency engagements for Core Marketing initiatives in Peru.
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovation initiatives in Peru mainly focused on (1) social strategy development and execution to guarantee consistency and brand engagement in social owned channels; (2) gaming strategy: develop and deploy strategies to increase Visa equity among gaming and Gen Z.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for Visa's activities in conjunction with Account Executives and all key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and conduct strategic business presentations.
  • Leverage existing owned digital platforms and social media channels to cultivate an audience and convert to subscribers.
  • Frame and conduct analyses and research needed to support annual strategic plan and/or marketing plans development.
  • Work closely with the Marketing hub team and internal partners to leverage marketing opportunities.
  • Support client‑marketing initiatives working with client marketing functions to generate deep understanding of the client’s marketplace including the client’s business, financial model, and marketing objectives.
  • Understand business objectives, business model and strategies to propose winning marketing plans and initiatives to support Peru’s business growth.
  • Manage our key partnership with our brand agency and media buying agency from strategy, plan development, channel planning, data analysis and media optimization to push our marketing evolution upstream especially in the digital and social fields.

  • Deliver compelling best in class marketing programs, with a clear strategic and business approach and contribute to a “Go Beyond” marketing team.

Be a Solid Company Steward

  • Be accountable for managing the Core Marketing budget in Colombia, reporting, budget/contractual commitment tracking, and marketing program performance metric reporting.
  • Ensure compliance and process correctness of Visa key controls and brand standards.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • 10+ years of brand, digital and trade marketing experience, preferably in a multi-national company.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD).
  • Strategic thinking and proven track record on developing compelling marketing initiatives with a clear business focus, based on business objectives and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with brand indicators, consumer insights and business metrics to inform strategy, planning and decision making.
  • Consumer centric. Proven skills in delivering initiatives based on consumer insights and ability to connect the dots.
  • Clear business focus. Ability to manage short‑term and long‑term marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing marketing strategies based on business objectives and executing marketing programs that deliver measurable business results.
  • Experience managing and motivating external partners, including agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns and copy development.
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance including ROI and accurately forecasting sources of cost, revenue, and risk with an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high ability to present with impact in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to structure and manage complex projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels.
  • Advanced planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience working with the sport assets and partnership alliances is highly desired.
  • Social marketing experience. Experience in developing social and digital marketing strategies in social owned channels (IG, TikTok, Meta) and proven results achieving brand engagement in social initiatives.
  • Understanding of main gaming assets and ecosystem.
  • Experience working with Peruvian market is a must.
