Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulatory requirements. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the organization’s financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external reporting standards.This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external auditors to deliver high-quality financial information that supports strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the completeness and accuracy of general ledger account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions; investigate and resolve variances in a timely mannerPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policiesOversee preparation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement reports, including:Monthly expense trendingIdentification of unusual or significant transactionsAnalysis of balance sheet fluctuationsMaintain the financial reporting structure within Workday, including approving new accounts and classification changes to ensure proper reportingPerform detailed variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and key performance driversSupport internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiriesAssist in the preparation, maintenance, and consolidation of departmental and organizational operating and capital budgetsCollaborate with finance, accounting, and operational teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial dataEvaluate and improve financial reporting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and complianceResearch and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on financial reportingAssist in developing and documenting accounting policies and proceduresParticipate in special projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process automation initiativesEnsure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and contribute to risk mitigation effortsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2–5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience (public accounting experience preferred)Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsPrior experience managing intercompany transactions across multiple entities is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Workday ERP is highly desirableStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organizationWork Environment & ExpectationsPrimarily office-based, with up to one remote workday per week after the probationary periodExtended hours may be required during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cyclesHigh level of accountability and discretion required when handling sensitive financial information #J-18808-Ljbffr
