Administrative Assistant (FTC)

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £26,228 per annum (full-time equivalent, dependent on experience)

Basis: Fixed-term contract (6 months). Full-time, part-time or flexible

Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in the UK

The role

We are looking to recruit an Admin Assistant who will work closely with the rest of the finance team to support the Foundation across all of its entities which will be an interesting and varied role. The role will suit an organised and process driven person. You will need to be conscientious and efficient, take pride in the accuracy of your work and support colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities. The role requires management of a high volume of administrative duties, leveraging strong organisational and prioritisation skills to meet key deadlines and objectives. You should be a natural team player with strong communication skills who can deliver in a fast-paced environment and be able to talk to colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage finance inbox - including filing, answering and escalating emails where needed
  • Zendesk - internal ticket system management - assigning tickets to the team, answering queries.
  • Purchasing - Complete centralised purchasing of goods and services for all entities within the Foundation's group, liaising with colleagues as needed.
  • Expenses system - entering the invoices/receipts onto the finance credit card and coding as per PO
  • Administering Monday.com boards ensuring information is up to date
  • Supplier verification - confirming bank details of new suppliers via email/phone call
  • Support the finance team with processing and filing financial paperwork

Experience And Personal Attributes

  • Will suit someone who is a good communicator, well organised and able to prioritise tasks and manage expectations effectively.
  • Literate in MS Office and Google Docs, and competent in all other aspects of a digital working environment.
  • Able to work with precision and excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable and proactive.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in a similar role.
