Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Integration & Automation Technician to join our technical operations team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain critical system integrations and automation workflows that streamline our business processes and drive operational efficiency.

This is not a pure development role—it's ideal for someone who combines strong automation logic with software skills, focusing on solving complex integration challenges rather than building applications from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Integration

  • Design and implement integrations between various business systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration architectures and workflows
  • Monitor integration health and implement proactive measures to prevent failures
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve integration-related issues

Automation & Scripting

  • Create and maintain automated workflows to streamline business processes
  • Design and implement scripts using Python and Node.js
  • Develop custom solutions utilizing REST APIs and GraphQL APIs
  • Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms in automated processes
  • Optimize and monitor existing automations for continuous improvement

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Investigate and resolve integration and automation-related incidents
  • Perform root cause analysis for automation failures
  • Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for early detection of issues
  • Create technical documentation for troubleshooting procedures
  • Provide technical support for integration and automation-related queries
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing workflows and automation candidates
  • Research and propose new tools or methods that could benefit the team
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current integration solutions
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for process optimization
  • Support the implementation of approved improvements

Requirements

  • Live in LATAM or The Caribbean
  • 1-3 years of experience building and maintaining system integrations or automation solutions with a track record of delivering working solutions quickly
  • Proficiency in Python and Node.js
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong debugging skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) - able to communicate effectively with US-based teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive learning mindset; eagerness to grow in technology and adopt new tools
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team environments with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with systems integration projects or automation frameworks

Technical Requirements

  • Processor: Intel 11th Gen (or equivalent AMD Ryzen 5000 series) for Windows users and M2 for Macs
  • RAM: 16 GB minimum
  • 25 - 50 Mbps Internet Speed (Min)
