Position Description – HC/MC Tipper Truck Driver / Operator

Location: Garden Island, WA
Duration: 4–5 Month Project (Potential Permanent Opportunity)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 10 Hour Days
Pay Rate: $45.00/hr + Penalties
Weekly Earnings: Approx. $2,591 before tax (including allowances & overtime)

About the Role

CrewSELECT are seeking an experienced HC/MC Tipper Truck Driver / Operator to join a major civil construction project based at Garden Island. This role is primarily focused on operating tipper trucks and trailers across site, with occasional machine operation and general site labouring during quieter periods.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent hours on a long-term project, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HC/MC tipper trucks safely and efficiently on a civil construction site.
• Transport construction materials around site.
• Hitch, unhitch and operate truck and trailer combinations.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Assist with loading, unloading and material movement.
• Operate mobile plant where suitably licensed (highly regarded).
• Undertake general site labouring duties during downtime.
• Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and project requirements.

About You

• Previous experience operating HC/MC tipper trucks on civil construction, infrastructure or mining projects.
• Experience driving truck and trailer combinations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe operating practices.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Willing to assist with general site duties when required.

Essential Requirements

• HC or MC Driver’s Licence.
• White Card.
• Ability to pass a Garden Island Defence Security Check.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Defence Common Access Card (preferred).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

Highly Regarded

• Civil construction experience.
• 6–8 wheel tipper truck experience.
• Posi Track Ticket.
• Excavator Ticket.
• Telehandler Ticket.
• Magni 360 Telehandler Ticket.
• Additional mobile plant operating experience.

What’s On Offer

• $45.00/hr + penalties.
• Approx. $2,591 per week earning potential before tax.
• Daily Travel Allowance – $21.94.
• Meal Allowance – $19.00 after 1.5 hours overtime.
• 10-hour days, Monday to Friday.
