Automotive Technician

Orange Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Automotive Technician on behalf of a well-established and highly respected main dealership operation in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician with experience working on Volkswagen Group vehicles, particularly VW and koda, to join a professional and supportive workshop environment offering strong earning potential and long-term career progression. This position would suit a motivated and detail-oriented technician who enjoys diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and delivering high-quality workmanship within a busy dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on VW and koda vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment. Complete warranty and recall work in line with manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures.

Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional work required. Ensure all work is completed to high technical and safety standards. Accurately complete job cards, repair documentation, and workshop records.

Work collaboratively with Service Advisors and workshop controllers to ensure smooth workflow and timely vehicle turnaround. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Stay up to date with manufacturer training, technical bulletins, and new vehicle technologies.

Requirements: Fully qualified Motor Vehicle Technician certification. Previous experience working with Volkswagen Group vehicles, ideally VW and/or koda. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.

Experience using dealer management and diagnostic systems. HV (High Voltage) and diagnostic certification would be a distinct advantage. Full, valid, and current driver's licence.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to exacting standards. Strong communication skills and good written and spoken English. A positive attitude with a flexible and team-focused approach.

Ability to work effectively in a busy workshop environment. Package & Benefits On-Target Earnings (OTE) of €60,000+. Year-end bonus scheme.
