As a Territory Sales Account Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing the sales strategy for industrial products and solutions to drive sustained growth in the region. You will grow sales by building new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to win over target customers. Sales Strategy & Execution Leverage all available sales resources to deliver optimal results.
Identify and select new automation and control business opportunities with assigned customers and territories – you will receive expert support for the different product lines. Work closely with Sales Specialists, as well as with our distributor. Lead strategic account analysis activities with the team when developing action plans to establish our position: identify opportunities and define targeted strategies and actions.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers to generate business opportunities. Efficiently anticipate and evaluate customer needs to offer productive consultations. Opportunity Management & Target Achievement Identify, qualify, and maintain a sufficient volume of business opportunities to reach organizational objectives surrounding orders and targets.
Maintain a specific sales volume in the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) while creating forecasts and gap‑closing measures. Design and prepare business proposals tailored to customer needs and strategic goals. Industry Knowledge & Professional Achievement Stay current with industry developments and, where possible, obtain membership in relevant industrial and professional associations.
Continuously enhance sales techniques and product knowledge. Location: This position will cover the Calgary, Alberta territory. What will you need to succeed?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or electro‑mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline. 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development or consulting in the industrial sector – domain expertise is essential. Good understanding of automation products (PLC, HMI, IPC, industrial networking, security and SCADA) and their applications. Good understanding of process instrumentation.
Technical and commercial knowledge of industrial automation products, motor controls, drives, and motion control. Experience with, or ability to learn, technical and financial estimation tools. Must be willing and available to travel within assigned territory.
Must possess a valid G Driver’s license in good standing. Skills & Competencies Working knowledge of Strategic Selling Models and Large Account Management techniques. Exceptional project and time management skills, with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships. Strong presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to think creatively and holistically, analyzing the broader organizational context to innovate and drive cross‑collaborative success within a matrixed organization. Flexible and resourceful, with the ability to adapt to change, take initiative, and maintain ethical and confidential standards.
A collaborative team player eager to step in and contribute to team success. Technical skills: proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat tools. Asset(s): People leadership – management, supervisory or team lead experience.
