Senior Application Support Engineer

Job Description: Oracle Endeca / Forge Developer Role Details Position: Oracle Endeca / Forge Developer Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Contract Location: Remote Role Type: Development + Production Support Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Endeca / Forge Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Endeca, Forge pipelines, data indexing, and enterprise search application development . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle Endeca-based search and navigation solutions while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. The candidate should have strong experience working with Endeca Forge, MDEX Engine, CAS, ETL workflows, indexing processes, and search optimization in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and maintain Oracle Endeca search and navigation solutions . Build and manage Endeca Forge pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and indexing. Develop and maintain data processing workflows to support search applications.

Configure and optimize Oracle Endeca components including: MDEX Engine Endeca Forge CAS (Content Acquisition System) Search configurations Indexing workflows Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for: Search issues Indexing failures Performance bottlenecks Data processing errors Optimize search relevance, navigation, faceted browsing, and customer search experience. Work on data modeling, ETL processes, and integration of multiple data sources into Endeca. Support enhancements and modifications to existing Endeca applications.

Collaborate with business teams, product teams, and technical stakeholders to implement search and navigation requirements. Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and availability. Participate in production support activities and resolve application-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Endeca development and support. Strong experience with: Oracle Endeca Information Access Platform Endeca Forge MDEX Engine CAS Endeca indexing processes Strong understanding of: Data modeling ETL processes Data transformation Search indexing concepts Experience developing and maintaining Endeca pipelines and workflows. Strong programming/scripting experience with: Java XML Shell scripting Experience troubleshooting search performance and indexing issues.

Knowledge of search optimization techniques including: Relevance tuning Faceted navigation Query optimization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Experience working with enterprise eCommerce search platforms.

Experience with Oracle Commerce / ATG environments. Knowledge of application deployment processes and version control tools. Experience supporting production environments.

Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Oracle Endeca specialist with strong Forge and indexing experience who can develop, optimize, and support enterprise search solutions while working closely with technical and business teams.
