This individual is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks/responsibilities efficiently and effectively. They will meet quality standards and production targets set by the organization. They will follow established procedures, guidelines, and best practices.

It is important that they maintain open and constructive communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Finally, they will show punctuality and reliability in fulfilling work obligations.

  • Complying with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Following safe work practices and using prescribed protective equipment.
  • Reporting hazards, incidents, and near-misses immediately to supervisors/foremen.
  • Participating in health and safety training programs.
  • Following instructions and guidelines provided for safe work operations.
  • Reporting any health-related issues that may affect job performance or safety.
  • Using tools and machinery in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Taking responsibility for personal safety and the safety of colleagues.
  • Participating in safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Contributing to a safe and healthy work environment through active engagement and adherence to safety protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Communicates in a friendly professional manner with internal staff members and customers
  • Operates and maintains company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Operates Loader with forks & bucket, ensuring proper hoisting & rigging tasks are preformed safely.
  • Follow all regulations, including circle checks and pre use inspections
  • Assist drivers and customers to load and unload materials.
  • Pre picking inventory and equipment for deliveries.
  • Ensure the yard is kept clean and garbage picked up.
  • Prepares accurate paperwork and records
  • Assist with inventory levels and periodic checks
  • Ensure materials are in the proper locations and kept organized
  • Assist technicians with equipment fueling, washing, and house keeping
  • Assist with snow removal duties around the Cavanagh complex
  • Assist with tasks requested by other department heads
  • Ensure all fire extinguishers located outside, are inspected monthly.
  • All other day to day activities/ requests.

Wage Range

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $28.00 and $30.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
