Job Description
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be part of a team of field and workshop service technicians, providing a prompt and effective service to customers within the Water, Power, Petrochemical and other associated industries.
You will identify faults, repair, test, and modify actuators in production and workshop, carry out retrofit adaptation of components, pedestals and drive shafts, and complete accurate and technical reports for each job.
This role suits a determined problem‑solver who can think logically to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems with Rotork products using mechanical, electrical experience, an understanding of actuation/automation, and strong problem‑solving skills. Based primarily in our workshop, you may also be required to support Field Service staff in the field from time to time.
Qualifications
- Trade certificate or technical diploma – Mechanical and/or Electrical
- Restricted Electrical license or be prepared to undergo a course to obtain this qualification.
- Hold and maintain a motor vehicle driving license.
- Demonstrate an above average electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Must be physically fit and comply with Rotork’s and customer’s drug and alcohol policies.
- Should be computer literate, being competent with the use of commonly available Microsoft programs.
- Be prepared to undertake Rotork Training Courses, as required, in Australia or overseas locations.
