Warehouse Deputy Manager

Purpose of the Role: Responsible for maintaining all store records - inward, outward, consumption, reconciliation, inventory etc. Key Responsibilities: ● Lead and manage the warehouse team, providing guidance and performance evaluations ● Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping ● Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy ● Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular audits and reconciliations ● Manage stock control processes, including FIFO/LIFO methods ● Assist in developing and managing the warehouse budget ● Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements ● Preparation of stock statements and inventory. ● Implementation of stores procedures ● Management of stacking yards, upkeep of shuttering material ● Maintaining sufficient stock levels and raising PR when stock levels fall ● Monthly stock checking - both physical and on books ● Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile them with purchase orders. ● Track damages and discrepancies on orders received. ● Check the material for quantity as well as the quality ● Check the documents sent by business units along with the consignment ● Prepare GRN proper storage of material ● Prepare the MIS report etc. ● Material dispatch planning Technical Competencies: ● Knowledge of Stores Management ● Knowledge of logistics ● Knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically) Behavioral Competencies: ● Planning and organization skills ● Communication and interpersonal skills ● Attention to detail ● Time management Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Skills & Experience: ● 10+ experience in warehouse management or logistics. ● Proficient in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. ● Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
