Job Purpose
The Vice President & Head โ Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's India sales strategy to significantly expand market share across both established and emerging product portfolios.
The role will provide strategic leadership across Sales Strategy, Sales Planning, Pricing, Channel Development, New Product Commercialisation, Sales Operations, Market Intelligence, and Organisation Capability Building, with the objective of delivering sustainable and profitable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term India Sales Strategy.
- Drive profitable revenue growth and increase market share across existing and new product portfolios.
- Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and target deployment.
- Formulate competitive pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build and strengthen a high-performing Pan-India distribution and channel network.
- Lead Go-to-Market strategies for new product launches.
- Build, mentor, and develop a future-ready Pan-India sales organisation.
- Drive sales governance, CRM adoption, forecasting, receivables management, and commercial discipline.
- Conduct market research, analyse competition, and identify new corridors of growth.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, institutional customers, OEMs, and strategic accounts.
Preferred Profile
- Graduate Engineer; MBA in Marketing preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
- Proven experience in Industrial Consumables, Cutting Tools, Industrial Equipment, Engineering Products, Abrasives, Welding Consumables, Metal Processing Products, MRO Products, or allied manufacturing industries.
- Demonstrated success in leading channel sales across at least eight states in India.
- Proven experience in building and managing large distributor networks.
- Strong exposure to pricing strategy, sales planning, sales operations, receivables management, and new product commercialisation.
- Comfortable travelling 15+ days per month.
- Proven track record of consistently delivering and exceeding business targets.
