CBRE’s Halifax office is currently looking for an outgoing, driven, team player to join its growing Debt and Structured Finance (DSF) Team. As a leading provider of land, commercial and multifamily financing, the team combines robust lender relationships, industry-leading deal volume and a strong platform to deliver innovative options for any mortgage financing requirement. About You The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting originators throughout the entire commercial mortgage transaction process from deal origination through to completion and post-funding, including but not limited to: Underwriting, including financial statement analysis Obtaining required documentation from relevant parties Preparing lender presentations Managing the funding process Liaising with borrowers, CMHC and lenders What We Require The successful candidate should have a college diploma or university degree in business, finance, accounting, math, or real estate. The ideal candidate has some experience or knowledge of mortgage finance, and exhibits the following characteristics: High level of attention to detail Eagerness to learn Strong time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Be a team player Understanding of financial statement analysis (an asset) Understanding of commercial real estate finance (an asset) Accounting degree/diploma or banking/lending experience (an asset) Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
