Surgical Tech Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,463 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience in a high-volume hospital setting License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment. Verifiable references from at least two prior assignments confirming no training was needed.

Willingness to participate in call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends. Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR Surgical Technician in a high-volume hospital setting. Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.

Those with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered. Candidates must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates should be prepared to hit the ground running from day one.

The schedule for this position is for weekend shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates will be required to participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends. The service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.

Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, and placement of ventricular assist devices. Procedures may also include impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement as well as adult ECMO. Thoracic cases include both laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures.

Vascular procedures range from placement/revision of grafts and fistulas to endovascular procedures. The service line comprises 4-6 operating rooms depending on daily volume, including an endovascular suite. The service line has the capacity to conduct four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.
