Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Tyler, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,710 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Tyler, Texas, 75701! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Neuro ICU experience required Description: Neuro ICU experience is required. Shift: 3x12 hour days.
Two years of experience is preferred. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Charting is done using Epic.
Patient ratio is 1:2. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Travel experience is required.
Community hospital experience is preferred. Trauma Level I and II experience are preferred. Skills needed include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and central line care/management.
Experience in CVA/acute stroke management and post-neurosurgery management is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with external ventricular drains, hypothermia protocols, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. Care of ventilated patients is a crucial requirement.
The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The daily census in the unit is 14 patients. The unit has a total of 16 beds.
Patient age groups served are adults.
