Application Deadline May 28th, 2026 Position Total Rewards Analyst Employment Type Permanent Compensation & Benefits Salary typically ranges from $74,297 to $99,063 annually, based on qualifications and experience, plus a performance-based incentive. Location Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in‑office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).
This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The Total Rewards & Wellness team is accountable for the design and development of programs, policies and strategies related to compensation, benefits and pension. The team provides consultation and support to the HR – Employee Care Centre and Business Partners who advise leaders across the organization. The team reports to the SVP, HR and the HR Committee of the Board of Directors for matters related to plan design and administration for compensation, benefits, pension and wellness.
Responsibilities Supports the annual salary planning process including the coordination of resources, timelines and tools to ensure a smooth end‑to‑end process. Completes annual salary surveys to ensure EDC salaries remain competitive against external benchmarks. Supports the development of EDC’s job evaluation framework and pay equity compliance.
Leverages information systems as a super user to conduct annual salary planning exercise, annual benchmarking and records management activities. Performs benchmarking, forecasting & analysis to prepare budgets and to provide a basis for making program decisions. Monitors the application of total rewards programs to ensure that interpretation/ decisions support the intent of the policies/programs and provides specialist advice.
Reviews compensation programs to ensure external competitiveness, internal equity, legislative and regulatory compliance, cost effectiveness and alignment with people strategies. Plans and executes the implementation of compensation programs including oversight of internal and external service providers. Supports the pension group by extracting data from PeopleSoft, analyzing different pension elements and working on resolutions when required.
Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. 2-5 years’ experience in human resources and compensation management, or related experience. Working knowledge of human resources management and compensation principles and practices. What will make you stand out Experience managing or supporting an end‑to‑end salary planning process using various technological tools.
Intermediate capabilities with Excel and data management. Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
