Test Analyst

Test Analyst West Midlands, Hybrid – 2 days per week on-site About the Role We’re looking for a Test Analyst to join a growing team within a large, forward-thinking organisation undergoing a major digital transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a wide range of strategic projects that support a modern digital strategy. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, project managers, and end users to ensure high-quality software delivery and excellent user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on business and technical requirements Execute manual testing across systems, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Identify, log, and track defects and issues, working closely with development teams to resolve them Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and testable Support continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards Assist with requirements gathering to embed quality early in the development lifecycle Manage and prioritise your own testing workload in a fast-paced project environment What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Experience working in an IT or digital environment, ideally within a testing role Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and SDLC Experience writing and executing test cases and test scripts Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail or similar Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to manage workload independently and adapt to changing priorities Desirable ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent) Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments Exposure to test automation Why Join?
