Technician Ventilation

We are currently seeking a Mine Ventilation Technician to join our Underground Mining team at Tropicana Gold Mine, reporting to the Underground Mining Engineer – Projects and Infrastructure.

This role is based at Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights provided to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

About The Role

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all employees
• Audit ventilation infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved ventilation plans
• Prepare and distribute ventilation plans
• Provide ventilation‑specific input into mine plans and schedules
• Complete statutory ventilation surveys of the primary and secondary ventilation networks
• Manage the secondary fan register and arrange maintenance and change‑outs as required
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed

About You

• A willingness to be part of a diverse team comprising technical and operational personnel

• Confidence to provide input and encourage discussion
• An enthusiastic attitude towards fulfilling key accountabilities
• A willingness to work in an underground mine
• A C Class Driver’s Licence
