Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join their team based at a prestigious client site in Dublin.
About Your New Role
As Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of all hard services operations across a key client site, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of technical maintenance and engineering services. Working closely with the client, specialist contractors and the wider facilities management team, you will lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, oversee technical projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a standalone leadership role supported by a wider regional technical team, offering the opportunity to influence service delivery, manage technical compliance and develop long-term client relationships while leading a high-performing engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of all hard services, ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs, SLAs and statutory obligations.
- Provide technical leadership and expert advice to the client, site management and engineering teams.
- Manage and develop the onsite technical team through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Coordinate specialist contractors across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, BMS and building fabric disciplines.
- Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and technical project works are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed service levels.
- Manage the CAFM system, ensuring accurate asset information, maintenance records and compliance documentation are maintained.
- Administer the Permit to Work system and review contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Carry out quality inspections, technical audits and compliance reviews to ensure statutory and mandatory requirements are consistently achieved.
- Manage reactive maintenance projects, surveys, quotations and lifecycle replacement works while ensuring projects remain within budget.
- Monitor contractor performance, negotiate service delivery requirements and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
- Drive sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency improvements, carbon reduction programmes and waste reduction activities.
- Coordinate out-of-hours maintenance activities where required to minimise disruption to client operations.
What You Need
- Recognised qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience managing technical services within Facilities Management, Manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment.
- Proven experience delivering small to medium-sized engineering or maintenance projects.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance, planned preventative maintenance and contractor management.
- IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
- Experience managing CAFM systems, asset registers and maintenance planning.
- Strong understanding of project delivery, supplier management and budget control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Word and SharePoint.
