Education Officer (Biosphere)

The Education Officer (Biosphere) will be responsible for the drafting and implementation of an Education and Outreach Strategy and an Education and Awareness Programme to promote the significance of the Dublin Bay Biosphere. The role requires a combination of technical understanding and knowledge of the science, legislation, policies and plans that underpin the Biosphere, with an ability to communicate these to a diverse range of audiences. The Education Officer (Biosphere) will work as part of the Heritage and Biodiversity team based in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The successful candidate will work across all three counties of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Dublin City Council and Fingal County Council, including Dublin Bay. They will visit various sites across all three counties in performing their role, this will include meetings, events, projects, activities and engagement with Local Authority staff, communities, schools, various groups and the general public across the Dublin Bay Biosphere area.
