About the role

Coogee is seeking a motivated individual with a science or technical background to join our Sales & Marketing team selling bulk chemicals to major chemical consumers across the state. This role is suited to graduates and professionals with up to five years' experience in laboratory, chemical production, quality, manufacturing or technical environments who are looking to build a long‑term career in a commercial role.

Working alongside experienced Account Managers, you'll gain exposure to customer engagement, relationship management, pricing, quotations, business development and commercial decision‑making while developing the skills required to progress into an Account Manager position.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer enquiries, quotations and account management activities
• Build relationships with customers and develop an understanding of their business requirements
• Participate in customer meetings and site visits alongside experienced Account Managers
• Assist with pricing reviews, quotations and customer price schedules
• Analyse sales, customer and market data to support business decisions
• Collaborate with operations, technical, logistics and finance teams to deliver customer solutions
• Develop an understanding of account management, business development and commercial processes
• Apply your technical knowledge to help identify and communicate practical customer solutions

The successful candidate will have

• Bachelor of Science, Engineering or a related technical qualification preferred
• Up to 5 years' experience in a scientific, laboratory, production, manufacturing, engineering or technical role related to the chemical industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Commercially minded with a willingness to learn
• Positive, proactive and customer‑focused approach
