Job Description

World Wide Technology (WWT) is a global technology solution provider, working with the world's largest organisations to design, build and deliver complex infrastructure at scale. Our EMEA business spans a London sales office, a European Integration Center in Amsterdam and an operations team at Schiphol, and continues to grow rapidly.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a genuine networking background to support the delivery of enterprise network and wireless programmes. This is a hands-on analysis role sitting between the business and the engineering teams, so you need to be able to hold your own in a technical conversation about Wi-Fi coverage, switching, routing and site requirements โ€” not just document what you are told.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Gather and document requirements for network and wireless projects, working with business stakeholders, site teams, architects and engineers.
  • Run discovery and site assessment activity โ€” capturing current-state estate, coverage, capacity, user and device requirements and site constraints.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria the engineering teams can build from.
  • Produce project documentation including requirements catalogues, traceability matrices, process flows, as-is and to-be views and BoM or scope inputs.
  • Support design activity by working alongside architects on HLDs and LLDs, challenging assumptions and validating that designs meet the stated requirements.
  • Coordinate testing โ€” defining test scenarios, supporting SIT and UAT, tracking defects and securing business sign-off.
  • Track scope, dependencies, risks and issues, and report progress clearly to project managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Support rollout and handover, including validation against requirements and transition of documentation to operational teams.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Proven business analysis experience on infrastructure projects, with networks and wireless as a core part of your background.
  • Solid working knowledge of enterprise networking โ€” LAN and WAN, switching, routing, VLANs, and how sites are connected and segmented.
  • Practical understanding of enterprise Wi-Fi: access points, controllers, coverage and capacity planning, site surveys, and the difference a physical environment makes to a wireless design.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle from discovery and requirements through design, build, test and handover.
  • Strong documentation skills โ€” requirements, process mapping, test scenarios and stakeholder-ready reporting.
  • Confident stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences, including site and operational teams.
  • Comfortable with Jira, Confluence, Visio or equivalent tooling, and working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.

DESIRABLE

  • Hands-on networking background earlier in your career (network engineer, field engineer or similar).
  • Exposure to wireless survey tooling such as Ekahau, and to Cisco, Meraki or Aruba wireless platforms.
  • Experience in a large, regulated enterprise environment with formal change control.
  • CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
