Role Overview

We are seeking qualified Education Support Teachers to work across our K‑12 school in Busselton. The role involves supporting students with a range of disabilities through explicit teaching strategies and effective classroom management, collaborating with primary and secondary staff, and engaging with families, therapists and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, programme and assess learning using an integrated curriculum differentiated to meet individual student needs.
  • Implement the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach and the Berry Street Education Model.
  • Manage a team of Education Assistants to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary planning and contribute to school community activities.
  • Use evidence‑based teaching practices, reflect on and seek continuous improvement of own work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Significant experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of PBS and Berry Street Education Model is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility, commitment to professional learning and reflective practice.

Eligibility

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or visa with valid work rights.
  • Apply for a Western Australian Working with Children Check before commencement.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check and obtain a Screening Clearance Number.
