Talent Acquisition Officer

The Talent Acquisition Officer - Recruitment Business Partner is responsible for leading and delivering strategic recruitment and talent attraction initiatives for South Dublin County Council (SDCC). The role focuses on identifying, attracting and securing high-quality talent to meet organisational needs while supporting workforce planning objectives and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Working closely with hiring managers and key stakeholders, the post holder will develop recruitment strategies that align with business requirements and respond to changing labour market conditions. They will provide expert advice on recruitment best practices, and support the development and review of role profiles to ensure they accurately reflect organisational needs.

A key responsibility of the role is the planning and delivery of innovative recruitment marketing campaigns across a range of channels, including social media, job boards, careers websites and other digital platforms.

The Talent Acquisition Officer will create engaging content such as job advertisements, social media posts, candidate information materials and promotional campaigns that effectively communicate SDCC's employer value proposition and strengthen its employer brand.

The Talent Acquisition Officer will ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant legislation, public sector guidelines, organisational policies and data protection requirements. Success in the role requires strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, combined with a proactive and innovative approach. Through effective talent acquisition, employer branding and recruitment partnership, the post holder will contribute significantly to SDCC's ability to attract and retain talented individuals who support the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

The post is wholetime, temporary and pensionable. The contract is for a fixed term of four years. A panel will be formed to fill temporary positions. Persons employed will be required to work in any location within the South Dublin administrative area.

South Dublin County Council is utilising Rolling Recruitment to fill this critical post. The nature of Rolling Recruitment is that there is no closing date. This allows us to capture as many applicants as possible to fill these posts on an on-going basis.

Competitions which are subject to rolling recruitment will close temporarily at short notice once a sufficient number of applications have been received. Shortlisted applicants will be brought forward for interview to fill existing vacancies, and the competition will be re-opened to new applications.
