Structural Engineer

Overview Our client, a multidisciplinary design and engineering firm with a strong presence in Western Canada, is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based out of their Vancouver office. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a base salary commensurate with experience (CA$85,000.00/yr - CA$125,000.00/yr), along with a competitive vacation and benefits package. This position will play a key role in structural design and calculations, preparing drawings and construction services.

Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including existing buildings and structures Complete structural calculations and prepare and edit structural specifications Review engineering design for compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications; provide technical support to designers and drafters Prepare reports and other technical documentation as required by the client Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors Support senior staff with inter-discipline coordination, project reporting, and structural analysis and design Coordinate with technical staff in preparation of contract drawings and documents and other work tasks Coordinate structural designs and documents with other disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Landscaping, etc.) Provide structural engineering support during construction, attend site meetings, and carry out field reviews Other duties as assigned Qualifications P.Eng or registered as an EIT Degree in Structural Engineering Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Self-starter and team player A valid driver's license Please email your resume to Chelsey Reimer at [email protected] for consideration; we thank all applicants however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
