Structural Engineer

Job Overview A Structural Engineer is required in Leeds on a permanent basis, with a salary between £36,000 and £55,000. The central Leeds consultancy seeks to expand its Building Structures team. The role involves working on commercial, retail, residential, and industrial projects across the UK.

Responsibilities Assess and inspect new and existing properties using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. Prepare technical reports, including dilapidation and due diligence surveys. Undertake analysis and design with software packages such as CSCFastrak and TEDDS.

Ensure quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, etc.). Liaise with and lead other design team members to achieve coordinated design solutions that meet client objectives. Work on small to medium refurbishment and building extension projects.

Qualifications Good academic background with a Masters or degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Consultancy-based experience as a structural engineer on UK projects in a similar role. Experience with structural analysis, design, and analysis software relevant to building structures.
