Job Description

We’re looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join our IT team at our Ellesmere Port site. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support across the business, ensuring a seamless user experience through effective incident management, technical support, and continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing Managing and resolving incidents and service requests using our ITSM system (ServiceNow) Providing responsive, customer-focused IT support across multiple channels Delivering first-line technical support across Windows, Microsoft 365, and user/device management Diagnosing and resolving issues using remote support tools Supporting and escalating major incidents, ensuring clear communication and timely updates Maintaining accurate records and contributing to knowledge base improvements Identifying recurring issues and supporting problem management and continuous improvement Working in line with ITIL processes and information security best practice What we’re looking for Experience in a Service Desk or IT support role (ideally in a corporate environment) Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred) Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, and endpoint support Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID and tools such as Intune Understanding of ITIL principles Excellent organisation and attention to detail A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality service About Innospec Innospec is a global specialty chemicals company focused on bringing innovative new technologies to market combined with a fast and responsive service.
