Laurel ward specialises in delivering high quality care for patients with oncological and gastroenterology conditions. The team works alongside the MDT to deliver individualized, compassionate and high standard of care to our patients. We are seeking to recruit nurses who can make a difference with their dedication, expertise and inspiring nursing skills.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care with opportunities to increase your skills, knowledge and experience. You must possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. We aim for our new team members to develop and take an active role in helping to make improvements on the unit and most importantly, to the care given to our patients.
Supported by the Practice Development team, you will receive a thorough induction and a tailored orientation programme, as well as a period of supernumerary practice. All newly qualified nurses will be offered our accredited preceptorship programme. Continuing professional development and post-registration education is actively encouraged through the provision of in-house study days and courses at the local universities to help build your nursing career.
Main duties of the job The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust's sites in line with the service needs. The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunities Policy.
