Staff Nurse - Haematology and Oncology Day Unit

A Senior Staff Nurse in a Haematology & Oncology Day Unit This role provides high–quality, patient‑centred care to patients receiving systemic anti‑cancer therapies, blood products and supportive treatments in an ambulatory setting. It combines advanced clinical skills with leadership, education, and service development responsibilities. Responsibilities Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to patients with haematological and oncological conditions. Administer SACT, immunotherapy, blood and blood products in line with local and national policies. Assess, monitor and manage treatment‑related side effects, including acute oncological emergencies. Perform venepuncture, cannulation and central venous access device (CVAD) care (e.g., PICCs, ports). Provide holistic assessment, symptom management and patient education. Act as a clinical role model, maintaining high standards of infection control and medicines management, and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
